Medical Investigator at the Swedish Medical Products Agency
At the Swedish Medical Products Agency, we work for the health of people and animals, for a better Sweden today and in the future. Welcome to make a difference with us!
Our Operations
The area of responsibility for Usage is, among other things, to develop producer-independent drug information and to conduct safety monitoring and follow-up with the user in focus. The Unit for Knowledge Support and Drug Use develops knowledge support (Treatment Recommendations and the Drug Book) for Swedish healthcare to ensure safe and rational drug use. In our work, we collaborate with internal and external experts, as well as with many other units within the Swedish Medical Products Agency. The unit has about twenty employees with a wide range of competencies and experience.
Your Responsibilities
To thrive in the role of medical investigator at the Swedish Medical Products Agency, you should have a strong interest and commitment to issues related to drug use. This may involve working with knowledge governance in the form of, for example, treatment recommendations, the Drug Book, or answering complex questions about drug use from various stakeholders. You will also support other projects and investigations at the agency-wide level, such as government assignments, as well as collaborate with other authorities and stakeholders. Together with the agency's epidemiologists, statisticians, and project leaders, you will contribute to the development of knowledge governance of national drug use.
The work is independent but often conducted on a project basis in close collaboration with other investigators and disciplines, and you are also expected to lead your own projects and working groups. As the tasks within the organization are varied, you are expected to participate in work outside your area of expertise. The work often involves external stakeholders, and there is a significant amount of external communication.
Your Background
We are looking for a physician with specialist competence or significant clinical experience in a broad and drug-intensive area. You are accustomed to oral presentations, report writing, and have the ability to write text in a summarizing, balanced, and fair manner in collaboration with others. You have good communication skills in both spoken and written Swedish and English, and you are computer literate.
We consider the following as meritorious:
- Specialist competence in geriatrics
- Doctorate in a relevant field
- Experience in evidence assessment
- Work with information about drug use
- Experience collaborating with authorities and other organizations
- Experience in independently driving development work
Your Personal Qualities
You have good analytical skills and scientific curiosity. You find it easy to plan and organize your work and enjoy writing and working with texts. You prefer to work in a team and contribute to a trusting and productive work environment in the group with a responsive, open, humble, and unpretentious attitude. We place great importance on personal qualities.
